Government Information Day (GID) is a free library conference hosted by the Indiana State Library and co-sponsored by INDIGO. GID is traditionally a one-day in person conference that promotes local, state, and federal government resources and literacy.
The event is free to attend, and is a great learning opportunity for librarians, library staff, information professionals, and members of the public. Indiana public librarians can earn library education unites (LEUs) towards their certification.
The next Government Information Day conference will be in May 2024 at the Indiana State Library. Planning for GID24 will begin later this year. Interesting in joining the GID Planning Committee? Contact Brent Abercrombie, babercrombie@library.in.gov, for more details.
