United States Mint

The United States Mint Official Site of the United States Mint was established in 1792.  Its mission is serving Americans by manufacturing and distributing circulating precious metal and collectible coins and national metals while also providing security for these assets and serving as the only manufacturer of legal tender coinage.  The mint is located at six locations around the U.S.,  public tours of its facilities are available in Denver and Philadelphia  Tours & Locations, and its workforce exceeds 1,600.

Legal authorization for the U.S Mint begins at 31 USC 5131 31 USC SUBTITLE IV, CHAPTER 51, SUBCHAPTER III: UNITED STATES MINT and relevant regulations begin at 31 CFR 92eCFR :: 31 CFR Chapter I — Monetary Offices, Department of the Treasury  Resources provided by this agency include cumulative numismatic product sales, bullion sales, circulating coin production including 2025 figures  Circulating Coins Production, historical commemorative coin sales, and annual reports such as the 2024 report 2024 Annual Report  The mint is also producing the following products Semiquincentennial Coins and Medals | US Mint as part of America 250 commemorations.
